OK, first of all, let's get the continuity issues out of the way. This is the third book in a series that is a spin-off from the author's "Greenford" series. But it is also intricately linked to "Strpped," the first book in that series as well as "Strip Tease," the first book in the Club Nocturne series which follows it. As such, I would strongly recommend that you read both of the other books in order so that you can appreciate how terrific this one really is.That's because one of the MC's here, Devon, is the older bisexual and sexually active brother of Christopher, the almost sheltered newly appointed somewhat closeted professor from "Strippers." In that book Devon coerces Christopher to attend a special show that wildly popular "club DJ" Devon is putting on at Club Nocturne. This is a strip joint with class where Christopher eventually meets Mateo, one of the strippers--no spoilers. Then in "Strip Tease" Mateo's best friend and fellow stripper Danny is introduced to Mateo's older and allegedly straight brother Lucas--no spoilers again.Thus, when 34-year-old Devon decides he needs to take a break from his harassed, creativity-blocked, production position in Los Angeles, he figures why doesn't he go back to Greenford to visit his brother and the new family that has been developed. He sets up a series of gigs at the club and it is there he meets Liam, a 26-year-old internationally known photographer who has put his life on hold the past couple of years to return home to are for his cancer-striken mother, who now seems to be recovering, maybe.And there you have the scenario for what is one of the absolutely neatest finales to an exceptionally delicious trio of books that in this case is low on angst, off-the-charts in heat, and sometimes funny if not cute all the way. Liam has come to Greenford to care for his mom. He is a photographer who enjoys travel, always finding excitement in the items he chooses to photograph. His sharp eye never missed a picture opportunity that captured not only the subject but the feelings it generated. But right now, he is restless and, with his mom feeling better and urging him to go out, he decides to check out the Nocturne club. She even told him they had a new DJ coming in, making him wonder how she knew the latest news from a strip club!Devon is arriving visit his brother, Christopher, and his fiancé, Mateo. Agreeing to work at the club as a DJ while he is there will give him a chance to meet Liam. The two creative men interested in the arts will enjoy a deep friendship and possibly more. Both of them had been losing their creative edges lately, but finding each other was inspiring them back to the excitement their work used to generate. Yet both are leaving sooner rather than later. Is there any point to starting up something more serious?Once again, the author has created a fantastic story line with real people who will instantly touch your heart.
